Panning for gold has become one of the most exciting
and sought-after activities of the decade. A visit to our
historic jimtown 1849 Gold Mining Camp promises to be
one of the hottest stops on your tour.
The camp lends itself to a 2-3 hour stop which can
include lunch, if you choose. We are about 2 1/2 hours
north of Yosemite, three hours east of San Francisco and
three hours west of Lake Tahoe. Bus parking is available and
adjacent to the camp. The camp is wheelchair accessible.
You can include our camp as a stop enroute to another
destination, or plan to stay in our scenic community for a
few days.
Your clients will enjoy the living history aspects of our
camp, as well as the peaceful, beautiful setting. We can
tailor the tour so that activities are geared toward their
interests and physical abilities. They can sit and listen to
Mark Twain spin tales of the Gold Rush Era, pan for gold in
a raised panning trough, or just walk around the camp
enjoying the 49er atmosphere. Those who are more
adventurous may choose to pan in the stream next to the old
prospectors. With over 25 attractions, we have something
for everyone to enjoy.
Whatever your specific needs, we can meet them. Our
camp offers more than any other gold prospecting company.
The attention to detail in creating this replica camp is
evident to even the most discriminating eye. We have
worked with the San Francisco 49ers, Coca-Cola
Corporation, Pacific Bell and the State of California, so you
can be assured our programs and services are top of the line.
